Our Beliefs

Here are some of the fundamentals that we believe in.

The Word of God

The word of God is the complete revelation from God and it's words are inspired and inerrant. We believe the King James Bible is the preserved word of God as promised by the Lord, (Ps 12:6,7).

God

We believe that there is one and only one true and living God. He is the Creator and Sustainer of this Universe and everything in it. He is eternal in his being, absolute in his attributes and sovereign in his will. We believe in the Godhead; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, (1 John 5:7).

The Lord Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and he was God manifest in the flesh when he dwelt among men. He is eternal in his existence, creative in his power, and the giver of eternal life. We believe in his virgin birth, his perfect sinlessness and his blood atonement for man's sins. Through his death on the cross for our sins, his burial and his glorious resurrection, Jesus Christ alone provides eternal life for all sinners. Jesus Christ is the only way for any person to be saved, (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. His present ministry includes magnifying the Lord Jesus Christ; convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment; and comforting, leading and teaching the saints. His ministry also includes restraining the mystery of iniquity from coming to full power until the Church is gathered together with Christ in heaven, (2 Thess 2:1-7).

The Church

We believe the Church is comprised of all born again believers in Christ whether in heaven or on earth. The local church is of God's design comprised of individual born again believers for the purpose of preaching the word of God and propagating the gospel of Christ, (Matthew 28:18-20).

Salvation

We believe that salvation of man is totally of God's grace and is a free gift from God to any sinner, (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world, (1John 2:2) and was buried and rose again the third day. This fact is the gospel of salvation, (1Cor 15:3-4). Any sinner that hears and believes in this gospel and calls on the name of the Lord is eternally saved. The gospel is for whosoever, but the sinner that does not believe in Jesus Christ is under the condemnation of God, (John 3:18,36) and will spend eternity in the lake of fire, (Revelation 21:8).

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God and that Adam and Eve willfully sinned against God. This brought about the fall of man which placed him under the declared judgment of God which was death, (Genesis 2&3). Because of this fall, all that are born are born under this same condemnation and therefore all die, (Romans 5:12). Because of our sin nature we possess no goodness whereby we might reconcile ourselves to God, (Romans 3:20). The new birth by the Spirit of God is needed for man to be saved, (John 3:3-6).

Eternal Life

We believe that the repentant sinner that believes and receives Jesus Christ as their Savior is given the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, (Acts 20:21; Romans 6:23). This eternal life is in Jesus Christ alone and not in any works of the believer, (1John 5:11-13). Once a person is saved, they are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, (Eph 1:13,14; Eph 4:30), therefore securing their eternal life in Christ not in themselves. This security frees the believer to live for Christ and work for Christ without the bondage of working to retain their salvation. Any teaching that tells a person that they must work to remain saved is a selfish and Satanic teaching.

Heaven and Hell

We believe in a literal place called heaven and a literal place called hell.

These statements do not exhaust all that we believe. The Bible is our sole authority in all matters of belief and practice.
